This first solo CD by Kevin MULLIGAN reflects the mixture of his American roots and his experience as an instrumental player, composer, and arranger. He has worked with many European artists, including Toots THIELEMANS, MAURANE, Liane FOLY, Khadja NIN, Philip CATHERINE, and many others.
This CD is a "live" recording, with an intimate atmosphere, delicate and solid, and with a masterful sobriety encouraging human warmth.
As a singer-songwriter, Kevin is a revelation. Each melody hits its mark, and the text comes on top to make the whole song solid and deep. Reminding us of the best songwriters, like Richard THOMPSON.
Most of all this recording is a gift to his audience, and this audience knows that Kevin MULLIGAN is a complete and important artist. This album will suddenly give coherence to a name which will now be at the front of the stage, and not in the background.
