The least you can say is that HARDSCORE is an amazing band. They have no limits to style, and while they are always themselves, they constantly concoct for us a series of surrealist mini-cruises, which we come out of with our perceptions altered and wet.
With their new album "Surf, Wind And Desire" (an allusion,, of course, to the infamous Earth, Wind and Fire, they immerse us in an aquatic world, the source of all life, from which emerged a whole load of otherthings, the human being, as well as fish and ships.
The cross between HARDSCORE's classical instrumental rigour, and the rock treatment and instrumentation of the repertoire doesn't give the usual mix, because it is infused with a humour which stops us taking the music too seriously.
"Surf, Wind And Fire" is a bridge between new-classical music and rock, but it's a swinging rope bridge over a ravine, where you've got to hang on to the ropes so you don't fall and drown in the River of Easy Classifications.
