"Invisible Mother" - composed by Fabrizio Cassol - is part of a long musical suite based on the Chinese "I-Ching" (Book of Changes).
The recording lets us discover AKA MOON in a new light, as they team up with the contemporary/new music ensemble "ICTUS", made up of the crème de la crème of their genre, and the conductor George Elie Octors, responsible for the musical direction of the piece.
The opening of this recording is shoulded in mystery, as ICTUS paths a whole new route, both through the writting, and through to a climax that Charles Ives would certainly not disaprove of.
Then AKA MOON slip confortably into the ensemble, firstly Michel Hatzigeorgiou colouring the sound with a palette of bass harmonics, the Stéphane Galland printing the rhythms on top to provide a basic layout for Fabrizio Cassol to link it all together and leave the AKA MOON signature.
From then on, nothing can stop the course of this new adventure.
With this recording, AKA MOON have added another important new facet to their work, and Fabrizio Cassol has turned an important page in his writting, playing a real trump card that leaves us in no doubt of his ability to handle music in its entirely.
