Kris DANE begins his recording career with this very mature debut album, Fe is a Male Mystic. Both in his live performances and on the CD, the audience is unanimous - overwhelming, catchy, innovative, fascinating, a discovery - with Kris's high, versatile voice and the songs themselves generating an undeniable emotion. Each song has its own vision and specific colouring. Kris's voice is both fragile and threatening, like a flower cut with a knife, which is held out to you with the knife still in hand. Although this is a solo album, built principally around vocals and guitar, in each piece Kris creates a new character who, in different ways, captures and seduces all sensitive souls. And on the CD there are innumerable discreet sound discoveries which move listeners into new aural environments and send them off towards new horizons.
