Erwin VANN's second album in a trio is a change of direction for him.
This time ethnic music makes its appearance in the 'warm as always' phrasing of the saxophonist.
Backed up by a flexible and smooth rhythm section, the compositions take a more relaxed and laid back feel, as if the whole thing was happening in Africa.
The occassional appearance of voices adds to this impression of being in the middle of a village full of colours where nobody notices the time passing.
